Concertmaster

Eloise Fadial

Violinist Eloise Fadial serves as concertmaster of the Brockport Symphony Orchestra. She began playing violin at the age of 3, and her love for the instrument drew her to continue playing through high school and college. In 2016, Eloise served as assistant concert master of the Wyoming All State Orchestra. While pursuing her B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Wyoming, Eloise studied with the Grammy-nominated violinist and her father, Dr. John Fadial. She briefly studied the viola da gamba with the distinguished Dr. Beth Vanderborgh. She also performed with the University of Wyoming Symphony and Chamber orchestras. From 2016-2021, she received the prestigious McElhone Scholarship, an award for engineering students that play in the Symphony. In August 2021, she moved to Rochester, NY to pursue her graduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester. She has found great joy in continuing to perform with the Brockport Symphony Orchestra while also pursuing her studies. In her spare time, Eloise enjoys spending time in the great outdoors: hiking, paddleboarding, canyoneering, skiing, etc. She is also a certified 200-hr yoga instructor and runs a blog where she tries to make science a bit more accessible and understandable: https://accessiblesci.wordpress.com/

Founded in 2010

Founded in 2010 by Jonathan Allentoff and Dr. William Hullfish, the Brockport Symphony Orchestra is made possible with support from the Village of Brockport and funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts.

The orchestra collaborates with acclaimed guest artists and ensembles throughout the season and performs at superb concert venues in Brockport, Rochester, and across New York State. The orchestra recently celebrated the Eastman Centennial with a special performance at Kilbourn Hall and toured for the Erie Canal Bicentennial, including the Empire State Plaza Clark Auditorium at the New York State Museum and the Rochester Museum and Science Center. The orchestra looks forward to returning to the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts for their annual Artful Holidays Concert at the Livingston County Auditorium!
